Message to New Students
Dear students,
On behalf of the entire staff and student community, I extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning students. We are thrilled to have you back on campus and are excited to see the impact that you will make during your time here.
As provost of this great Centre, I am committed to providing you with an outstanding educational experience. Our dedicated faculty and staff are here to support you and help you achieve your goals. We offer a wide range of academic programmes, extracurricular activities, and resources to help you succeed. Additionally, the center has a competitive edge in offering courses in such civil service improvement areas as Public Service Reforms, Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations and Servicom. Of course, extensive efforts are geared toward getting some of our courses accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). It is my hope that these efforts should begin to yield results within the coming year.
I encourage you to take advantage of all the opportunities that are available to you. Get involved in clubs and organizations, attend lectures and events and take advantage of our many resources and services.
FTC Calabar has zero tolerance for any form of indiscipline, insubordination and examination malpractice. Therefore, I implore you to avoid these vices as any of these can result in a consequence as severe as expulsion. I strongly advise that you kindly avail yourself of our handbook for more information which will guide your successful stay in the centre.
Meanwhile, an Alumni Association has been set up. The Association should provide the right platform to enable current and old students to contribute their much expected quota to build a great name and image for our centre.
I want to appeal to you to support and cooperate with the school management to enhance a successful and excellent academic environment for all.
I wish you all the best in your studies and hope that you will make the most of your time here at our institution.
